I can confirm this on Feisty. I'm running XGL + fglrx drivers + beryl, and I cannot use screensaver. If I choose to just blank screen, the screensaver unlock dialog crashes. If I try to use some 3d screensaver, it crashes the whole desktop and immediately takes me to the gdm login screen.
