I looked at your xorg.conf. Is there any reason you are using the UseFBDev option? Try without. I don't know if it is related at all though.
It is very difficult from your comment to understand what you have tried and what is blocking you. You mention "startx", is that from following the "Obtaining a backtrace from a coredump" instructions? 1. On a text console, run: sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop ulimit -c unlimited sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start (You have to this again if you restart your machine!) 2. Make the X server crash. Then look for /etc/X11/core If you can't find the core file, you can't go on with gdb. If you find the core file, run sudo gdb /usr/bin/Xorg /etc/X11/core Please tell exactly what you are doing and exactly which error messages you get. Copy and paste into a textfile and attach it, or attach a screenshot. -- [rv350] crash in ActivatePointerGrab https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116365 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
