This seems to happen with every shortcut to a webpage that you put on your desktop. This creates a new browser icon on the dash and from then on, this icon 'takes' all url's instead of the default firefox icon.
** Description changed: Found on Ubuntu 11.10. Installed Sabnzbd+ from the repository. I created a shortcut on my desktop pointing to /usr/bin/sabnzbdplus - After starting sabnzbd+ the 'SAB' icon appears in the unity-dash. + After starting sabnzbd+ (and there is no browser-instance active yet) the 'SAB' icon appears in the unity-dash. Next, whenever I open a hyperlink from e.g. an emailmessage, this SAB-icon is seen as the primary browser-instance, and the official firefox browser icon on the dash stays 'empty'. In my opinion the Firefox icon should handle and group all url's. I used Compiz manager to make the Unity dash visible permanently and also show smaller icons in the dash. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/941342 Title: Firefox icon in Ubuntu 11.10 taken over by Sabnzbd+ icon To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/941342/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
