This happens to me now in Ubuntu 10.04 with Firefox 10.0.2 and Thunderbird 10.0.2 (from PPA thunderbird-stable). It worked previously, although I'm not sure whether it broke only with the latest Firefox release or even earlier. I don't use that function very often.
Anyway, this is what Firefox' error console says about it: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIExternalProtocolService.loadUrl]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://browser/content/browser.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 9876" data: no] And no, the workaround from the initial bug report doesn't work for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/680587 Title: firefox not launching thunderbird To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/680587/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
