I am not sure I can reproduce it, but I apparently got the same when
ejecting/safely removing a SD card which was plugged into a USB
multicard reader. Thought I had been doing the same before without
seeing issues. When it happened the nautilus window seemed to go into a
busy state for a while (greyed out).
