Public bug reported: I think it is something to do with the plasma-netbook interface.
I know that when I installed kubuntu on the netbook with a liveUSB drive a couple versions ago, it at least had a link to system settings so I could figure out how to get rid of the netbook interface. It is a huge pain to try to get a run command, system settings, internet, drivers... anything. I highly suggest removing the plasma-netbook interface because it doesn't do anything other than clutter and confuse.... If it can be made usable, it should be as a user selectable option. but it simply does not work. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/943073 Title: Try Kubuntu on 12.04 on netbook is unusable mess To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/943073/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
