Public bug reported:

I used uubootn to create a usb drive to test kubuntu alpha2.

I accidentally pulled the usb thumb drive instead of the power cord, so
I lost the other bugs I was going to report,

However, the system did not even give an error message.

So this is a request for an error message if an important filesystem
gets removed.

There should also be a way to suspend the system if a drive is removed,
and give an option for it to be plugged back in. (no way to do this
fully gracefully, but some grace would be nice)

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
