Public bug reported: if i pause the boot, while it's in the bios, before it gets to the linux boot, for about 2 mins, Ubuntu boots fine, and if i reboot at some point that will be fine too. It's only from an absolute cold boot ubuntu will fail to boot. I've tried a Mint liveDVD and that boots fine from a cold boot. This problem started while I was running 10.0.4 64bit, then I got the same problem after fresh install (keeping /home) of the current 11.10 64bit.
