I too think that there are far too many ThinkPads still in use to allow
this bug to have such a low priority. While I realize that the devs only
have so much time on their hands and a Herculean task to do, but having
to find and install a workaround for this myself is pretty frustrating.
I'm an anthropologist, not a coder. I need my bullet-proof old ThinkPad
to run optimally and shouldn't have to chase this bug myself. Please
address this.
