Binary package hint: tetex-bin
I installed tetex-bin and its dependencies. When I run latex on a
fairly simple tex file, it completes without errors, but it does so
after fifty or more seconds of running time (cpu usage is close to 100%
for latex command during this time).
After a web search I found that it may be a kpathsea slow search
problem. I ran mktextlsr to rebuild the path database , but the problem
does not go away.
Same happens with gv
