notify-osd 0.9.33-0ubuntu1 I am seeing something very similar. With a reddish wallpaper, the notify bubble is an aqua-green colour, see attached. The dash background has a sympathetic colour tied to the colour of wallpaper, as expected. However, the notify bubble background appears to be based on the _inverse_ colour of the wallpaper.
