The same problem presents my computer, motherboard Asus M3N78-EM,
Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000, Ubuntu 11.10 64bit. With random
frequency stops working usb mouse or keyboard. Only restarting the
computer is restored. During the freeze does not work any USB port. Even
unplugging USB devices, the command lsusb lists all the devices present
before the freeze:

On another partition, Windows 7 works properly.
