It doesn't select the already installed package as it's not trivial what do you
want to do with it. When a package is not installed, the only option available
in the context menu is Mark for installation, so that's what space does,
however when you have a package installed, you have three options (reinstall,
remove, completely remove) and it's hard to decide what to do with the package.
What would you expect space to do in this case?
