Public bug reported:

Ambiance is normally supposed to have dark-colored menus. However, in
Precise some of the menus are white instead, particularly those which
appear when right-clicking something (e.g. the desktop) or submenus
under the global menu (see attached screenshot for an example with the
Terminal, though it shows up in GIMP too). Thus, there is inconsistency
in the menu colors.
