Public bug reported: When I press Super in Unity 3D after the latest Unity updates, the launcher icons are overlaid with their shortcut numbers, and that's all that happens. Right-click on launcher icons still opens quicklists which can be interacted with, but other than that the whole desktop stops responding to any input, mouse or keyboard. Basically, triggering this bug renders the desktop completely unusable.
This is extremely reproducible during normal use, since Unity is dependent on the Super key for the most commonly-used keyboard shortcuts, including opening the dash. The only workarounds I found so far are to do a hard reset or switch to a tty and enter unity --replace. Unity 2D, GNOME Shell, and my other sessions still work fine.
