My apologies. I've found this bug late. I've just uploaded a version of vcf that replaces vcf-plugins, and confirmed the removal of vcf- plugins. More generally, for many of the plugin packags (both LADSPA and DSSI), Debian has selected different names than those chosen in the Ubuntu uploads, and where possible the Debian packages should be preferred to take advantage of the additional maintenance support. Given the number of packages changing, I recommend that ubuntu-studio- meta for gutsy not be altered to use new dependencies until after Debian Import Freeze, or perhaps even Upstream Version Freeze, just to prevent the need to resync as additional packages change.
