Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-cpufreq-applet
By default, the cpufreq-applet cannot change the governor setting from itself and AFAIK there is no other way to change it in GUI in GNOME. A simple "sudo chmod +s /usr/bin/cpufreq-selector" would solve the problem and I remember having to do this back in dapper or breezy and I am quite surprised it's not fixed as it would be very simple to fix. ** Affects: gnome-cpufreq-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Cannot select governor from cpufreq-applet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/117105 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
