I am going to try and test a different xorg-input-synaptics driver, that
doesn't have the ubuntu patches at all and see if I can replicate the
issues I've been happening (3 finger tap regressing to being recognized
as single tap after suspend/resume).

I've downloaded a package from the debian squeeze backports archive
(xserver-xorg-input-synaptics_1.4.1-1~bpo60+1_amd64.deb), and it seems
to be working perfectly for now, but I'll have to give it a few days and
numerous suspends to test, to try and see if its an issue with the
driver or something else. It happens so rarely/sporadically with jason's
patched ubuntu package that I haven't been able to pinpoint any possible
cause :/

I might also try testing 12.04 and see if I run into any issues with its
input driver. It definitely seems to be doing something different, as my
3 finger tap was working fine.
