Public bug reported: I am using Ubuntu 11.10 and when ever I connect beagleboard-xm embedded device to the serial port of my machine and turn it on, the machine restarts. It happens on all serial port applications like gtkterm, cutecom, etc. I think its a bug with the serial port driver or the kernel. The serial port settings are 115200, no parity, 8 bits, 1 stop bit, no flow control.
The same machine work properly on Windows XP + Hyperterminal. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: I am using Ubuntu 11.10 and when ever I connect beagleboard-xm embedded device to the serial port of my machine and turn it on, the machine - restarts. + restarts.
