*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 21186 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/21186
I installed 7.04 alternate and grun was installed to the wrong mbr. I copied the relevant lines from the configuration file to that other grub, though. Had to change hd 0,0 to hd 1,0. Then on trying to boot I got that error 15: file not found. I quickly found out it is not the kernel. Being able to boot in recovery mode provided the necessary hint: after removing "splash" (and also "quiet" while I was at it), things work now. -- File not found by grub to load kernal https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/24015 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
