BTW, the BIOS settings are uninteresting for Linux. Linux does its own
hardware detection (not sure about what Windows does nowadays).

I also recommend setting up a RAID-1, that's much more convenient and
robust than your solution.

However, if you want to keep the dd approach but avoid the 'identical
UUID' problem, then I recommend to only dd the partitions, not the
entire raw device.
