Well this isn't a bug with Unity at all; I've experienced similar issues with GNOME Shell and even on GNOME2. It's a GTK bug instead.
One workaround is to click the dropdown and release the mouse button VERY quickly. If you don't release it quickly (which happens in most common cases), GTK thinks you've held the mouse button down and were selecting an option. ** Package changed: unity (Ubuntu) => gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/925410 Title: Pidgin "change status" combobox broken under Unity To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+3.0/+bug/925410/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
