Public bug reported: I opened gnomeburner to burn a cd image. I had FF running already. Anyway, I selected 'burn cd-image' from gnomeburners menu, but was told my cd-rw was not blank. I proceeded to close the window and select "blank cd-rw" from the menu, thus starting the blanking process. The blanking process froze about 1/2 way through. My hdd LED was lit constantly, and the cd LED was blinking in a monotonous manner. I tried to close gnomeburner, but had to close it forcefully. I then closed all other apps, and tried to shutdown. No luck, hdd LED still lit, cd LED still blinking. I then tried to safely shutdown by Alt+sysrq + r, but instead of letting my go through the safe steps (i.e. Alt+sysrq+s, etc.), it just shutdown my system. I had only been running feisty for a short time, maybe 45 minutes, and had only opened Firefox and a terminal window before starting up gnomeburner.
After starting up again, and opening gnomeburner, I found that the cd was already blanked, and gnomeburner let me burn my iso image without a hitch. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- feisty freeze after running gnomeburner https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116672 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
