I have been able to reproduce systematically some of the bugs above- mentionned.
Using the default "Ubuntu" theme, I have systematically the bugs in the dialogue box for setting the background and also for the preferred applications. See the respective screenshots attached. These bugs don't persist for all theme but for sure for the default theme and also for the "outdoors" theme, that I have tested so far.
