Tried to reproduce this in precise, but kvm starts fine with a
virtualbox guest running.

Marking it 'Fix Released'.

We could mark it as affecting 11.10 to SRU it, but given that it will be
low priority (by priority definitions, because it has a workaround -
don't run a virtualbox guest at the same time) it will be hard to
justify an SRU.
