Hi Michael The same scanner works fine with the plugin for Paint.net in Windows 7. For this reason, I don't think it is a problem with the hardware.
If I scan with my Canon LiDe 30 in Simple Scan (Ubuntu), it works fine the first about 5 scans. With more scans, the problem is always more to the point where the scannedimage can not be stored. I can not explain why. That's just my experience. In Windows 7, with Paint.net plugin it works. Best regards, Claude.
