Hi Michael

The same scanner works fine with the plugin for Paint.net in Windows 7.
For this reason, I don't think it is a problem with the hardware.

If I scan with my Canon LiDe 30 in Simple Scan (Ubuntu), it works fine
the first about 5 scans. With more scans, the problem is always more to
the point where the scannedimage can not be stored. I can not explain
why. That's just my experience. In Windows 7, with Paint.net plugin it
works.
