I actually applied the fix manually but did not set the fixed package on hold as I had the hope that any update to the grub package in lucid would fix this.
Yesterday my system crashed while working with schroot and snapshots and is now unbootable again :-) So I am interested in a fix once again and hope it goes into Lucid.
