Public bug reported: Currently (with Unity 5.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha), maximizing a window leads to the window being visually merged with the top bar. This makes sense as long as the maximized window is focused, as the title and menus shown in the top bar are the ones belonging to the window. However, focusing an unmaximized window while having a maximized window open leads to the unfortunate situation that the top bar shows the title/menubar of the unmaximized window, while the visuals suggest that they actually belong to the maximized one. (The attached image shows the problem.)
Thus, it would be good if an unmaximized window and the top bar only appeared as a single visual unit while the window is focused, and less connected if not, to make window title / menubar ownership clear and less confusing. ** Affects: hundredpapercuts Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: unity Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/919570 Title: Appearance of maximized windows makes menubar ownership amiguous To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/919570/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
