Am using Ubuntu 11.10. NVIDIA Geforce 7 series. I think have pretty good graphic card for running any modern OS. 2 GB Ram.
What I mean is that when u open dash to search or select some app, sometimes I tend to hover over a few icons and then select the right one. While I do that a white rectangle is shown on the icon on which i point my cursor(i.e Trying to highlight my selection). So when I move the cursor to next icon I find a visible lag between me already having moved on to that icon and a few miliseconds later the white rectangle follows it.. I find this lag to be annoying. Unity 2D doesnt have that kind of lag. To give u a anlogy of it. Think of a high end graphic game running on low spec pc where u find lag between ur movement of mouse and cursor getting to the desired place.
