Public bug reported: Whenever I connect a disk part of a raid and mdadm fails to asseble the RAID (even degraded) the boot will be halted and falls back to busybox recovery env.
this used to work just fine and the RAID would be marked as inactive after booting the system (10.04/10.10) now it is somehow assumed that /dev/md0 is essential to the further boot process and booting is halted ** Affects: mdadm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: dmraid dooglus err mdadm not -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/915770 Title: Boot fails when a broken RAID is connected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mdadm/+bug/915770/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
