I've the 700Z5A and till today I thought my ambient light sensor wasn't working with ubuntu (kubuntu 11.10 64 bit). I figured out that it works: when the sensor is exposed to the rays of the sun (filtered by a curtain) the backlit keyboard turns its lights off, but nothing happens to the monitor brightness.
I wonder there is a parameter to configure the sensibility of the sensor, but I don't know which one could be. Hope this can be helpful. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/901409 Title: Ambient Light Sensor doesn't work on Samsung 700z3a To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/901409/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
