I also seem to suffer from that. But it's only recentl.y I run Kubuntu 10.10 with KDE 4.8 RC2 from the Kubuntu Team PPA.
I have real problems to drag'n'drop things, it often just "clicks" them (and hence opening) in KDE. xev | grep state however does show it a one long click. They keyboard works fine.
