Forgot to add mention my results... Have now had Gwibber, Firefox, Terminal and OpenOffice 3.2 running for a couple of hours with no high CPU problems. Before installing 'couchdb' pkg, 'beam' would have started using a lot of CPU, causing Xorg and other things to use high cpu thus saturating it (single CPU system).
