Public bug reported: Precise up to date. Plugging in a vodafone k4605 usb-modemswitch wake-up but it does not switch the device and does not connect it to a tty. Into /lib/udev/rules.d/40-usb_modeswitch.rules there is a line for device 12d1:14c1.
