Public bug reported: I have the following apache modules installed on Ubuntu 10.10 (ls of mods-enabled dir):
alias.conf autoindex.load negotiation.conf setenvif.conf alias.load cgi.load negotiation.load setenvif.load auth_basic.load deflate.conf perl.conf speling.load authn_file.load deflate.load perl.load status.conf authz_default.load dir.conf php5.conf status.load authz_groupfile.load dir.load php5.load userdir.conf authz_host.load env.load reqtimeout.conf userdir.load authz_user.load mime.conf reqtimeout.load autoindex.conf mime.load rewrite.load As soon as I a2enmod fcgid and restart apache, it just segfaults non- stop. Excerpt from /var/log/apache2/error.log: [Wed Jan 04 16:35:07 2012] [notice] child pid 6721 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) [Wed Jan 04 16:35:07 2012] [notice] child pid 6722 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) [Wed Jan 04 16:35:07 2012] [notice] child pid 6723 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) [Wed Jan 04 16:35:07 2012] [notice] child pid 6724 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) As soon as I a2dismod fcgid, the server starts again fine. The same happened with another machine running ubuntu 10.04, without mod_perl. Is it a bug in these releases or is there a known case when this happens? I use the classic fastcgi without any problems. ** Affects: libapache2-mod-fcgid (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/911819 Title: enabling fcgid makes apache segfault To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libapache2-mod-fcgid/+bug/911819/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
