Hi Clint It's taken me a while, but I have managed to reproduce the crash using shotwell from git (latest commit: 5ef32dedd7af1f80dd2125167b130fb0e03f3b71).
This bug seemed to be triggered after selecting all photos in an event, and then clicking on somewhere to deselect the selection.
