Of course, "the smallest graphical resolution possible" recommendation was a bit silly (is that 1 x 1 or 0 x 0?), I suppose any Lubuntu-with- GUI ready computer can handle 800 x 600 px. I cannot confirm whether 75 Hz refresh at such resolution is OK for any sutable monitor - if not, then maybe 60 Hz would be better (of course with a user-friendly option of switching to something more comfortable).
Obviously the problem may touch both the CRT and LCD monitors, only for the CRT it may be a little bit more painful as you can lose your old monitor in a second - as I did in this case. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/880501 Title: The installer sets an improper vertical display frequency To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lubuntu-meta/+bug/880501/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
