Just upgraded to 12.04 the other day. The upgrade froze halfway through,
and i had to use recovery mode to restart the package manager, which to
my knowledge seemed to finish the upgrade (although it was in text mode
only), but i''m not sure if it did the clean-up routine at the end since
it was in text mode. Today i got a crash error before opening anything
and it said 'upgrade failed' or something like that. It brought me here
and said it had already been reported.
