Showing a warning about ~/.cache only solves this one bug report. Processes writing outside of an eCryptfs-mounted subdirectory is the actual issue and, I believe, an issue that is understood when using partial disk encryption.
Also, Ubuntu no longer offers ~/Private encryption from the installer.
