I have read a article time ago where it said that the problem is on system.firmware.vendor value. The kernel don't recognize "American Megatrends Inc." and can't resume. They proposed to edit the BIOS and changed this value to another like Micro-Start.
I don't know how do it. :) In my case these values are: system.board.product = 'MS-16371' (string) system.board.serial = 'BSS-0123456789' (string) system.board.vendor = 'MICRO-STAR INT'L CO.,LTD' (string) system.board.version = 'Ver 1.000' (string) system.chassis.manufacturer = 'To Be Filled By O.E.M.' (string) system.chassis.type = 'Notebook' (string) system.firmware.release_date = '04/01/2008' (string) system.firmware.vendor = 'American Megatrends Inc.' (string) system.firmware.version = 'A1637IL1 V1.66' (string) system.formfactor = 'laptop' (string) system.hardware.primary_video.product = 10754 (0x2a02) (int) system.hardware.primary_video.vendor = 32902 (0x8086) (int) system.hardware.product = 'LGE500' (string) system.hardware.serial = '706MSLN003632' (string) system.hardware.uuid = '4C1273C8-7584-DD11-8000-504350524F44' (string) system.hardware.vendor = 'LG Electronics' (string) system.hardware.version = 'LG-1637' (string) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/333033 Title: [LG E500 laptop] suspend/resume problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/333033/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
