Unfortunately the RenderAccell wasn't a solution. The issue keeps coming up, and it's also occurs with other programs than openoffice. This time it froze with firefox. I also noticed that I cannot connect via ssh to the box anymore. Again, no logs show any signs of anything out of order, except for this in xorg log.
