It is possible to replicate the problem with a new document as follows: Open a new spreadsheet Enter some text in first cell (this is just so that we can later see that we have opened the spreadsheet ok) Save the file, say testit.ods and close the file. >From a terminal in appropriate directory check that it opens ok with libreoffice --calc testit.ods Select Tools > Macros > Organize Macros > LibreOffice Basic Click Organiser Select testit.ods Click New Leave name as Module1 and click OK Click New Change name to ThisWorkbook and click OK Click Close and Close again Save the document Close the document
Open the document again using libreoffice --calc testit.ods The error Entity: line 1: parser error : Start tag expected, '<' not found is seen in the terminal and the spreadsheet opens apparently empty. Close it. Open using libreoffice testit.ods and it opens ok. The bug is a regression as I have not changed the macros in my original document for many months and it was ok using LibreOffice up till about two months ago. So I assume that an update around that time introduced the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899190 Title: Unable to open spreadsheet using --calc To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/899190/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
