Binary package hint: nvidia-glx
Nvidia proprietary drivers for the Nvidia FX 5500 do not work. nv
drivers work fine.
Upon choosing the proprietary drivers and restarting X, only a black
screen is shown, only fixable by going to the recovery mode kernel in
grub and editing xorg.conf back to nv.
Cannot back into text mode (with Ctrl + Alt + F1) after booting into X
with xorg.conf set to the proprietary drivers. Must manually restart
computer.
