Bug persists in Ubuntu 11.10 running Shotwell 0.11.6. Can it really be that such a fundamental glitch is still unassigned after a year? The affected images are actually unviewable by the program. A user option to change the photo viewer background colour (as is possible for the library background) is all that is needed.
