** Description changed: My girlfriends wanted to find some files, so she opened dash, wrote "*.ppt" there (she needed to find a huge bunch of .ppt files and copy most of them to usb stick), and didn't find anything since unity (it's search engine) doesn't scan the whole disk (which is good :-) for documents, but indexes only the used ones. So I think there should be a way to: 1. at least make user to understand that this isn't "real full search" 2. maybe provide a button "search everywhere" that launches nautilus with search in home folder Thank you. + + Fixing bug 646724 (actually making the search search all files) would be + one way of fixing this bug.
