Thanks for the quick followup. Please excuse me if my object naming convention is rough, I'm new to Ubuntu.
I was playing the game AisleRiot Solitare > Spider. I actually won a game. At the end the gane the Spider window froze. I could not access the menus of the Spider game, the Ubuntu menus (Application, Places, etc.) were like wise frozen. I was able to switch to a different panel (lower right of screen). After about 1 minute the system unfroze and presented me with a game over popup. I'm not familiar with the different log files to find the error messages.
