I have the same issue as the OP. Additionally, when browsing the mount point it contains two of the apps that are on the phone and nothing else??! When I opened Shotwell the first time I was able to see the preview images under "Documents on Joakim Ryden's iPhone". I hit "import all" and got the message that Shotwell was unable to lock the camera.
