@Azrul M. Amir (azrul) It's *ONLY* the power saving issue. Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit works perfectly on this motherboard. I would HIGHLY recommend a combination of Ubuntu 11.04, Windows 7 (both 64-bit versions) and this motherboard. Install Windows first, defrag Windows, then install Ubuntu, as Ubuntu will setup the dual-boot combination with Windows (it won't work the other way round!).
Due to the power saving issue with this motherboard, Windows 7 may randomly power off the computer unless you turn off all the power saving modes in Windows, except for turning off the monitor (good idea to turn off the monitor when it's idle). There's NO overclocked components in my setup and the RAM runs with the X.M.P. timings, as the RAM modules are X.M.P. It passed 24-hours of running Prime95 non-stop. I hope that helps and if I can provide more information to help get this power saving bug fixed in Ubuntu, please contact me. Cheers. :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/773321 Title: Power management and Asus Sabertooth P67 motherboard To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/773321/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
