Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: synaptic

After installing Ubuntu on a 4GO PC, only 2GO are available

kernel's logs says "use a PAE enabled kernel"

I didn't found a PAE enabled kernel in synaptic

This is caused by my motherboard which map the first 2go at address 0-2go and
the last to adress 4-6 go
I guess this is why the kernel couldn't use the last 2go

as a workaround I recompiled the kernel with the pae (64go) option and
now I have full access to my ram

don't you think that a pae - enabled kernel should be in synapic ?

Regards,

Denis
