Tim, Tried again and the partial upgrade proceeded this time (updating a bunch of stuff and installing "python-zeitgeist") but then the same thing happened next time (not sure that it didn't just update because there were updates to be done, with nothing to do with resolving the partial or whatever).
Red icon remains (even after restart) and same partial upgrade nonsense and same "ERROR:root:NvidiaDetection returned a error: __init__() got an unexpected keyword argument 'datadir'"in /var/log/dist-upgrade/apt.log. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/847860 Title: Can't complete partial upgrade, red failure icon To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/847860/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
